Walking in Rome is one of the best activities for the budget traveler as it is always most certainly free. Cycling is typically low cost if you don’t take a guided tour. Rome has many parks and beautiful outdoor spaces perfect for relaxation or a picnic. Here are some of my tried and true outdoor adventure posts to help you explore the city arranged by neighborhood.

City Center:

Villa Pamphili is one of the largest public parks in Rome easily accessible by public transport. Perfect for running or dog walking/ watching!
